Tope Bello heard about WAVE from OLX. Prior to WAVE, she had just finished an internship programme with TV Continental (TVC) .She applied to the WAVE programme because she wanted to get job experience and knowledge. The most challenging aspects of the programme were the assignments and the training hours. "It was very tedious but I had to endure because of what i would gain. My most memorable experience was definitely the team work. We used to be the least team at the beginning but became the second best by the end of the programme. It was confidence boosting for us."
What was most surprising about the programme for Tope was the idea of coming to what seemed like a school-waking early, doing assignments,debating et.al. The most important skill Tope learnt at WAVE that she applies on the job is managing expectation. "This helps me a lot especially with difficult customers; telling upfront if a delivery can be made or their orders taken."
Tope's long-term goal is to be a video jockey(VJ) or TV host.
