*How did you hear about WAVE?
I heard about WAVE through your colleague, Nicolas. He came to us with the idea of helping young people get jobs in our community. We didn’t believe him at first but now everyone is enjoying the benefits of WAVE
*What are your responsibilities as a CDC chairman Sir?
As the CDC chairman, I coordinate all CDAs under the CDC. I see to the activities and general welfare of the CDA members under the CDC. Also ensure each CDA carries out their duties and also see to the cleanliness of all CDAs.
*What made you decide to partner with WAVE?
*How has the programme impacted your community?
A lot of people want to come to come to the LCDA because of the opportunity created by WAVE. They have helped in reducing idleness because an idle mind is the devil’s workshop.
*What advice do you have for other LCDAs considering partnering with WAVE?
They should use WAVE in their locality so that their youth can gain from WAVE's employment scheme. They should also be willing to embrace programmes proposed by NGOs which will help in decreasing the rate of unemployment.
*What advice do you have for the youth?
Young people should be prepared to work anywhere not minding the distance or salary aspect because this will help in giving them a bright future; the more they work the better the experience. “Rome was not built in a day and a thousand miles begins with one step.” They must be determined, up and doing. They should not depend on their parents forever.
