Omotola rounded off her secondary school education at the Solpabag Royal College, Oko. As someone who is result-driven, she was eager to discover her potential and apply herself to work.
She heard about WAVE from a very good friend of hers, Ebenezer, and decided to give it a try. Omotola was unemployed when she heard about WAVE and decided to enrol to learn soft skills and be introduced to "how to succeed during an interview session."
Ahead of WAVE, she worked at Rosewell Hotel at Ajangbadi as a waitress. After she resigned, she helped her mum at a retail store but realized the need for a job in the long run.
While at WAVE, she was introduced to skills such as teamwork, good and effective communication, and time management. The major challenge she had during the training was the distance. She spent 2000 naira daily on transport fare and boarded four buses to the training centre. Omotola almost gave up due to this but was motivated by her batch-mates who supported her financially up until graduation day.
Omtola jobshadowed at Kuddy Cosmetics as a storekeeper where she, along with her colleagues, monitored the products and attended to customers.

When asked the excitement about this job, Omotola has this to say: “I have been able to visit Silverbirds Cinemas, Vanguard Newspaper as well as meet celebrities like Laura Ikeji, Enoh Etien and others.”

Upon graduation from WAVE, she got a job at Adeysoile, a fashion brand in Lekki as personal assistant to the Chief Executive Officer of the company. Through the job, she has been introduced to fashion and networking.
Omotola dreams to own a fashion-related business to support and fight the unemployment issue in Nigeria. Now that she works in a reputable organization, she supports her family and caters for her mum’s well-being.
Her advice to job-seekers goes this way: “always believe in yourself, don’t ever think you can’t make it and never look down on yourself. ”
