We recently graduated the second cohort of our Future Leaders training.
Over the course of this training program, participants were immersed in an intensive curriculum that encompassed, systems thinking & teamwork, effective communication, and time management. Additionally, participants received modules on leadership development, covering topics like leading diverse teams, conflict resolution, vision casting, and civic engagement.
The aim was not just to create leaders, but to instill a sense of responsibility and initiative that would shape these young individuals into change-makers.
The true impact of this training manifested as the participants took their learning beyond the classroom and into their communities. Divided into groups, these aspiring leaders embarked on a range of community projects that addressed pressing local issues.
One group chose to tackle economic empowerment by conducting market sensitization, recognizing the importance of environmental sanitation, and educating the sellers in the market.

Another standout project focused on the donation of books at a correctional center, and drug abuse sensitisation.
The training which is implemented by Leap Africa and funded by the MacFoundation and Ford Foundation serves as a platform to enable more young people to cultivate their leadership potential and fulfill leadership roles wherever they find themselves.
Congratulations everyone 🥳
