Temilola heard about WAVE from a member of her church (C & S Movement Ayo Ni, Surulere), Mrs Funmi George. Before then she had just finished her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme and was idle. The most challenging part of the programme was working in a team but through the training she  learned to work in a team.
Temilola secured a job immediately after her job shadow (a one-week period when trainees are sent to employer-partners to put into practice all that they learned during the training).Temilola currently works with Le Reve Pieces, a jewellery and accessory store.
Customer service/relations and effective communication are two important skills she applies on the job because these have helped her to be more outspoken and attentive to customers’ needs, “and with it, I have good patronage and referral from other customers.”
Temi’s long-term goal is to have a one-stop jewellery and accessory store that will offer service in terms of sales and styling globally.
