Alum case study- Godwin Udoh

Godwin Udobassey (Batch 11)
Employer- The Orchid Bistro

Godwin heard about WAVE from a friend who is an alumnus. At the time,he was working with the loss and prevention department under the auspices of a security outfit  as a casual staff. He applied to WAVE because he wanted to acquire more skills as well as get a steady job after learning about the multiple opportunities WAVE had to offer. Godwin was challenged with the process of discarding his old self and embracing the new path WAVE was about to offer him. It took a while for him to learn and unlearn but as time wore on,Godwin adapted and waded through the programme. He got a job three (3) weeks after graduation with The Orchid Bistro Restaurant as a waiter. ''Systems thinking has made me discover errors in my workplace before anyone else within my cadre-apart from my senior colleagues.'' This he said when asked the most important skill he learned at WAVE that he applies on the job.
Godwin would like to be a core professional in the hospitality industry as he strongly feels this would give him the right footing to build an 'hospitality empire'' of his dream.

''Do what you have to do for the love of it not for the benefits"
