Omolola got to know about WAVE through a sensitization programme that was held at Ifako-Ijaiye Local Government. Before WAVE, she was a budding entrepreneur who was optimistic about making a big break. She decided to join WAVE after her interview.
She learned how to be convincing to potential employers/clients within seconds so she was intrigued by this.
She trained at the academy situated at Yaba. She admits that the WAVE training wasn't all rosy for her because of the various challenges that the training provided. She harbored self-doubt at first but was determined to complete the training.
The skills that she paid close attention to were Time Management, Communication Skills, and multi-tasking.
After the training, she job shadowed at cakes and creams. It was an eye-opener because she put everything she had learned to use. She learned how to make cakes and pastries within a short period.
Omolola hopes to be an entrepreneur in the nearest future. She wants to own her beauty outfit. She believes that there are challenges to be faced but she is confident that she can overcome them. She hopes every job seeker can embrace the opportunity WAVE is giving to make them employable.
She lists Jide, Kelvin, and Osas as her favorite WAVE facilitators because of their support towards her cause.
